Professor Zollo is a full Professor in Strategy and Sustainability at Bocconi University and serves as a visiting professor at the Sloan School of Management at MIT, where he is part of the Management Science Group. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Organization and Environment and a Fellow of the Strategic Management Society. His research focuses on how business organizations learn, adapt, and grow in response to environmental turbulence, emphasizing the managerial strategies that guide these evolutionary processes through strategic growth initiatives, organizational change, innovation, and learning. He specializes in managing complex strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, sustainability-oriented innovation, and organizational change efforts. Currently, he directs the Global Organizational Learning and Development Network (GOLDEN) for Sustainability and another program examining the neuroscientific foundations of strategic decision-making. Both programs actively engage large corporations in designing and executing field experiments addressing innovation and sustainability challenges. Zollo's research also involves collaborations with international institutions such as the EU, the UN, the World Bank, and the World Economic Forum. He has authored over 50 publications, cited more than 12,000 times in scientific literature. His managerial insights have been featured in prestigious outlets such as Harvard Business Review, McKinsey Quarterly, The Wall Street Journal, and Financial Times, while his academic work appears in leading journals in management, strategy, sustainability, and neuroscience.
