Louise Connelly is a Lecturer in Academic Development at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, where she provides pedagogical advice and develops digital resources for the Jeanne Marchig International Centre for Animal Welfare Education. She conducts workshops, manages the Veterinary Medical Education Division's event calendar, oversees the R(D)SVS suite of MOOCs, and teaches on undergraduate and MSc courses, focusing on e-professionalism and social media communication. Additionally, Louise serves as the Convenor of the Human Ethical Review Committee (HERC), Chair of the Staff Development (SupportEdu) Committee, and Exam Board Chair of the SRCF undergraduate course. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).
Digital Education Manager
As the Digital Education Manager at EDINA, a centre for digital expertise and online service delivery at the University of Edinburgh, I lead the strategic development of digital education activities. This involves working on new projects and collaborating with technical and domain experts to develop ideas for new services and apps. I also lead the EDINA Digital Footprint Training & Consultancy service, providing specialist advice and bespoke training on social media and effective online presence. Previously, I served as EDINA's Social Media Officer for six years, offering expertise and support on social media use. During this time, I developed and delivered the social media module for the University’s MSc in Science Communication and Public Engagement from 2012-2015, and I continue contributing to the MSc in Digital Education. Additionally, I am a member of the Managing Your Digital Footprints research team.
