Distinguished Expert in Chinese Medicine and Pharmacognosy
Professor Zhi-xiu Lin is an Associate Professor at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where he also serves as the Acting Director of the School and Course Director for the MSc in Acupuncture and MSc in Chinese Medicine programs. He graduated with a BSc in Chinese Medicine from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine in 1987 and began his career as a Chinese medicine doctor at the Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Provincial Research Institute of Chinese Medicine. After moving to England in 1991 to improve his English, he pursued a PhD in Pharmacognosy at King's College, University of London, which he completed in 1999. Prior to joining CUHK in 2003, he was a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader for the Chinese Medicine Programme at Middlesex University, where he contributed to both basic and clinical teachings.

Professor Wendy Wong is an Assistant Professor at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, affiliated with both the Hong Kong Institute of Integrative Medicine and the School of Chinese Medicine. A registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner in Hong Kong, Dr. Wong has extensive experience in primary care evaluation research, focusing on enhancing the knowledge of front-line physicians—both Western and Chinese medicine practitioners—regarding effective doctor-patient communication and the evaluation of care quality through validated patient-reported outcomes. Her research interests include the application of Chinese medicine in cancer treatment, the predictive value of patient-reported outcomes related to body constitution in Chinese medicine, and understanding the needs within integrative medicine.
