Patrick Le Galès, born March 11, 1964, in Lamballe, Brittany, is a distinguished CNRS Research Professor of Sociology, Politics, and Urban Studies at Sciences Po Paris's Centre for European Studies and Comparative Politics. He served as the founding Dean of Sciences Po Urban School (2015-2022) and has achieved remarkable academic recognition, including election as a Corresponding Fellow of the British Academy (2011) and member of Academia Europea. His academic journey includes education at Sciences Po Paris, Nuffield College Oxford (M.Litt.), and the University of Paris X Nanterre. His scholarly achievements have been recognized with prestigious awards including the CNRS Silver Medal (2018), the Stein Rokkan Prize (2002), and the CNRS Bronze Medal (1996)
