Claudio Del Pero is an Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture, Built Environment, and Construction Engineering. He focuses on research and advisory activities concerning the energy efficiency of the built environment and the utilization of renewable energy sources, particularly photovoltaic (PV) technology and distributed energy generation. Throughout his career, Del Pero has actively participated in various national and international research projects aimed at promoting renewable energy sources, enhancing energy efficiency in buildings, and improving energy management practices. Since 2009, he has collaborated with the VISPE association (Italian Volunteers for Solidarity in Emerging Countries) on designing and constructing stand-alone photovoltaic systems for off-grid users and a field hospital in Burundi.
