Ghezzi has received the Outstanding Research Award from the ACM Special Interest Group in Software Engineering and has served on numerous international editorial boards, conference committees, and research evaluation committees. His research primarily focuses on various aspects of software engineering, and he has co-authored over 200 papers and eight books.
