Pioneering Researcher in Artificial Intelligence
Nicola Gatti is an Associate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the Department of Electronics, Information, and Bioengineering at Politecnico di Milano. His research focuses on various aspects of Artificial Intelligence, including algorithmic game theory, allocation problems and incentives, algorithmic social choice theory, multiagent learning, and online learning. His work has earned several prestigious accolades, such as the 2011 AIxIA Marco Somalvico Award for the best young researcher in AI, the Best Paper Award at NeurIPS 2020, and the distinction of EurAI Fellow in 2021. He directs the AI Research and Innovation Center at Politecnico di Milano, co-directs the Italian Observatory on Artificial Intelligence, and serves as a board member of both the Italian Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems and the International Foundation for Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems (IFAAMAS), as well as the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence (AIxIA).
