Dr. David Cook is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering Technology at Kennesaw State University, where he brings a wealth of experience in engineering and education. He holds multiple degrees, including a Bachelor in Applied Mathematics, a Bachelor and Master in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, an MBA from the University of Louisville, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Technology from the University of Phoenix. Dr. Cook's professional career began at GE Appliances, where he worked in product design for washers, dryers, and refrigeration before transitioning to various roles in quality management and engineering.In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Cook is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt, having designed and taught Six Sigma courses for over thirteen years. His courses on Coursera include DFSS for the 6 σ Black Belt, Six Sigma Principles, and various courses focused on the Six Sigma methodology's phases such as Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control. Dr. Cook is dedicated to empowering students with practical skills that enhance their understanding of quality management and process improvement in engineering contexts.

Dr. Bill Bailey is an Assistant Professor of Industrial Engineering at Kennesaw State University, specializing in quality systems and process improvement. He earned his PhD in Technology Management with a specialization in Quality Systems from Indiana State University in 2011, and he also holds a Master of Science in Industrial Technology from North Carolina A&T State University, along with a Baccalaureate degree in Psychology and English. Dr. Bailey has extensive experience in manufacturing, particularly in lean implementation and training, having worked in various roles that involved teaching process improvement to both production employees and executives.In addition to his academic role, Dr. Bailey is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and actively trains Six Sigma Green Belts and Black Belts. His research interests focus on enhancing organizational performance through quality initiatives such as the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Process, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies. On Coursera, he teaches several courses related to Six Sigma, including Six Sigma Principles, Six Sigma Advanced Analyze Phase, and Six Sigma Tools for Define and Measure.
