Pioneer in Social Business and Societal Innovation at HEC Paris
Bénédicte Faivre-Tavignot is the co-founder and director of the "Social Business/Enterprise and Poverty" Chair and the HEC Master's in "Sustainability and Social Innovation Management," established in 2008 and 2003, respectively. Since 2013, she has served as executive director of the Society & Organization Center at HEC, integrating societal innovation into the curriculum. A founding member of the Action Tank Entreprise et Pauvreté, her research focuses on how societal projects, such as social business and base of the pyramid (BoP) initiatives, drive reverse innovation and strategic renewal. She holds an HEC degree (1988) and earned her doctorate from the University of Lyon 3 in 2012.
