Lee Reiners currently serves as executive director at the Duke Global Financial Markets Center, where he teaches FinTech and the Law along with seminars on financial policy and regulatory practice, while regularly contributing to The FinReg Blog; his extensive background includes five years at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York as both a supervisor of systemically important financial institutions and senior associate in the executive office, where he coordinated with international standard-setting bodies and various regulatory agencies, following earlier roles teaching corporate finance and managerial economics at Saint Peter's University MBA Program and serving as a U.S. Army communications specialist in Baghdad, Iraq in 2004-2005; his educational background includes a BSc in business economics from the University of St. Thomas, where he graduated summa cum laude, a MPP with global policy concentration from Duke University's Sanford School of Public Policy, and he holds the chartered financial analyst designation.
