Module Description
This course provides comprehensive guidance for supporting young children who may be displaying early signs of autism or neurodiversity. It covers the entire journey from recognizing initial concerns to preparing for school entry. Key topics include identifying early signs of autism, navigating the diagnosis process, developing strength-based approaches to support, and effective advocacy strategies. The course also addresses important aspects of the carer journey, including strategies to prevent burnout. While focused on autism, much of the content is applicable to supporting neurodiverse children more broadly. Developed in partnership between Curtin University and Kalparrin.org.au, this course offers practical, evidence-based strategies for families and carers to support their child's development and well-being.
